Stephen M. Sinkoe, DPM, has been in podiatric practice as a podiatric physician in Cooper city Florida since 1986. Following his bachelor of science degree at University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, he completed his postgraduate degree at Kent State University College of podiatric medicine (formally the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine) He then completed his surgical residency in foot, ankle, and leg surgery at Nova Southeastern Medical Center in North Miami Beach Florida in 1986.
Since 1987, he has been an adjunct professor at the Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores, Florida. He has always been very involved in hands-on training with podiatric medicine and surgical residents throughout the United States as an externship director through his practice and multiple local hospital affiliations in South Florida. Since 1995, he was certified as a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and medicine. He has been a member of the Fort Lauderdale surgical Society since 2008.
For 30 years, his private practice has focused on prevention, care, and treatment of the foot, ankle, and lower leg from infants to geriatric patients with an extensive focus on sports medicine, lower extremity limb salvage, and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Sinkoe has enhanced his practice with the cutting-edge techniques of regenerative medicine utilizing such procedures as platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy and stem cell therapy.
